Katool Refund & Warranty Policy

Returns & Refunds

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Katool purchase. If you need to return an item, please review the following requirements:

  • 30-Day Window: Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase for items in "like-new" condition (uninstalled, original packaging, and all manuals/accessories included).

  • Restocking Fee: All non-warranty returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

  • Cancellations: Orders cancelled before shipping are subject to a 3% processing fee. Once an order has shipped, it is treated as a return.

  • Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for round-trip freight costs on all returns. These charges will be deducted from your final refund.

  • Defective Items: In the rare event that a product arrives fully defective or in non-working condition, Katool may, at their discretion, waive the restocking fee and recover the return shipping costs.

  • Exclusions: Used equipment, installed units, and consumables are not eligible for return.

Cosmetic Damage & Touch-Up Paint

Katool equipment is industrial-grade and designed for heavy shop use. Due to the size and weight of these items, minor surface scratches or paint chips may occur during the international shipping and crating process.

  • Cosmetic vs. Structural: Minor scratches that do not affect the machine’s performance are considered cosmetic and do not qualify the unit for a return or replacement.

  • Touch-Up Policy: For minor imperfections, Katool provides high-quality touch-up paint. This is the industry standard for large automotive equipment.

  • Inspection: Please inspect your delivery carefully. If you notice minor cosmetic scrapes, note them on the delivery receipt, and we will coordinate with Katool to provide touch-up paint.

To ensure the fastest resolution for troubleshooting, all Katool-related inquiries are handled via a streamlined digital ticketing system.

  • Response Times: You can typically expect a response within 24 business hours. Providing your order number and photos/videos of your inquiry upfront will significantly speed up the process.

Warranty Policy

Katool warrants its equipment to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use. This coverage includes a 3-year warranty on structural components and a 1-year warranty on electrical and hydraulic parts (such as power units, cylinders, and valves) from the date of invoice. The warranty is limited to the replacement of parts and does not cover labor, travel expenses, or incidental damages. To maintain eligibility, equipment must be installed and operated according to the provided manual; any unauthorized modifications or disassembly without prior Katool approval will void the warranty.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, technical abuse, or aggressive behavior toward our support teams. Katool Shipping & Delivery Policy

Shipping Coverage & Timelines

  • Location: Freight shipping is available only within the lower 48 states.

  • Fulfillment: Standard fulfillment time is 6–10 business days.

  • Fees: We do not charge additional fees for Residential Delivery or Liftgate Service on Katool orders.

Customer Unloading Responsibility

For all large equipment (including 2-Post and 4-Post Lifts), the customer is responsible for unloading the unit from the trailer.

  • Equipment Required: You must have a forklift, large skid steer with pallet forks, or similar heavy-duty equipment. The driver cannot lower these products to the ground.

  • Terminal Pickup: If you do not have unloading equipment, you may request to pick up your order at a local freight terminal where they can load it onto your trailer for you.

  • Safety: You are responsible for safe unloading. Equipment Outfitters is not liable for injuries or damages caused by improper unloading or attempting to unload by hand.

Preparation & Arrival

  • Scheduling: The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window. Please answer or return these calls promptly to avoid storage fees.

  • Site Prep: Ensure an adult (18+) is present and that you have a clear, accessible space for unloading.

  • Delays: Carriers allow limited unloading time; delays or missed appointments may result in re-delivery or storage fees at the customer's expense.

Inspection & Receiving (Before You Sign)

Your signature on the Bill of Lading (BOL) confirms the equipment was received in good condition.

  1. Document: Take 4–6 photos of the pallet and all sides of the packaging while it is still on the truck.

  2. Inspect: Look for crushed corners, punctures, tears, or water marks.

  3. Note Damage: Write specific notes on the BOL before signing (e.g., "Forklift puncture on side panel"). A "Clean" signature with no notes may void your ability to file a damage claim.

  4. Refusal Policy: Do not refuse delivery for minor cosmetic issues (scratches, chips, etc.). Only refuse delivery if the unit is visibly and severely damaged to the point of being non-functional. If you are unsure, call us at +1 (833) 696-8258 while the driver is present.

After Delivery

  • Concealed Damage: If you find damage after unboxing, email support@equipment-outfitters.com within 48 hours with photos of the product, packaging, and the BOL.

  • Keep Packaging: Retain all pallets and packaging until the item is fully inspected and tested.

Warehouse Pickup: What to Expect

  • Authorization Required: Do not go to the warehouse until you receive written authorization from Equipment Outfitters. Only the person listed on the order is authorized unless we are notified in advance.

  • Timing: Once "Ready for Pickup," you have 48–72 hours to complete the pickup to avoid storage fees or cancellation.

  • The Process: Bring a photo ID and your order confirmation. Warehouse staff will load the equipment onto your trailer via forklift; however, you are responsible for securing the load with your own heavy-duty straps.

  • Safety: Follow all warehouse staff instructions. No after-hours pickups are permitted.
